Hope Tech Super Cross UCI Cyclocross Series 2023

Welcome to Hope Tech Super Cross UCI Cyclo-cross series. This first event is hosted by Cycle-cross North East (CXNE) in association with Sunderland City Council.

Herrington Country Park, Houghton-Le-Spring, Sunderland, DH4 7EL, Tyne & Wear, United Kingdom.

Site Rules

• Overnight camping from Friday and Saturday night – James Brady jamiebrady64@icloud.com.
• Please park in the designated Event Car Park.
• Please keep toilet and shower rooms clean. No muddy boots or washing kit.
• No Jet Washes in the Car Park.

Travel
Ferry from Amsterdam to North Shields. Ten minutes from the ferry terminal. If using the Tyne Tunnel you are required to pay within 24 hours.

CXNE Saturday Races
Any entrant is welcome to enter the Saturday league race for a course preview. Online closing entries close on the Thursday before the race. On the day entry available for international riders only. (Link to BC).

You will need to be signed on 30 minutes before your race starts.

Pit Passes
Each rider is permitted one accredited helper in the equipment pit (two, if needed, for the Elite/U23 Men’s, Junior Men’s and Elite & Junior Women’s categories). A helper needs to have the correct wristband to gain access to the pit area. These should be picked up at sign-on. Please note that these are valid for one round only; there are no full season pit passes.

Transponders
We will be using transponder chip timing for all races. Transponders will be issued at sign-on . Please remember to return your number c/w transponder after the race. Your transponder chip is in your number.

Race Information
UCI overall series positions are decided on overall cumulative time of all three races in the series.

Only riders who finish a race with the same number of laps as the race winner will be awarded a Race Time.

Note – To qualify for a Series Position you must complete all 3 Races.
