How early should I arrive?
Before you race you’ll need to sign on and collect your race number and timing chip. It’s also a good idea to warm-up and take a ride around the course to familiarise yourself with any tricky corners, climbs or obstacles. You should also be at the start area 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Arriving 60-90 minutes before your race should allow you to sign on, ride the course, warm up and arrive at the start in time.
Don’t forget to Collect your Race Number !
All CXNE Events are now Online Entry only. During the online entry process you are prompted to read and accept the British Cycling Events T&C

Will there be changing facilities?
Most of the CXNE courses are at venues that provide changing (and sometimes shower facilities). But this isn’t always going to be the case. So plan ahead. You’ll see plenty of folk getting changed in their vehicles and please don’t be offended if you catch sight of the odd naked (usually male) bum.
Can I ride the course before my race?
Yes. But the time frame for this is dependent on what race you are in. At all CXNE events the course is to be considered closed until commissaire officially opens the course for practice. This will be communicated via the PA or at Sign On. Riders are to join the course for practice at the start/finish area. Warming up on the course before it is officially opened for practice, or during times that the commissaire has not declared a practice session could result in your disqualification from the race.
Generally the course will be open for practice from 9:30 to 10:25 and 12:45 to 13:10.
The race will start in the next 30 seconds, on the sound of the gun
